Ben Pattison
Managing Director
The founder of Wellsteed Advisory Group, Ben has spent the last 15 years helping businesses and entities succeed by challenging orthodoxies, championing innovation and pursuing practicality.
Having worked with hundreds of businesses across a range of industries on how to increase sales, solve problems and create influence, Ben has acquired a keen appreciation of what success looks like across the interconnected disciplines of Sales, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Creative Campaigning, Market & Policy Research + Analysis and Behavioural Science.
Bucking the trend of creative and analyst types being intrinsically different beasts, Ben fuses together both creativity and analytical rigour. This offers clients a unique ability to see through ambiguity and complexity to generate feasible and practicable ideas and systems for revenue growth, profitability and behavioural change.
Working closely with leaders, Ben refines approaches and prescribes solutions to business problems – whether it be sales, marketing, creative communications or public policy challenges – and also personally advises in the implementation and monitoring of corporate plans, business growth strategies and public policies.
Comfortable and experienced working with all kinds of people, at all levels and in all kinds of companies, Ben has a genuine interest in helping people and organisations reach their full potential.
When not working Ben enjoys getting out on the ocean, exercising his passion for carpentry and writing music.

Dr Steven Daly
Leadership & Team Dynamics
Steven brings over 30 years experience in leading and managing teams across professional, not-for-profit, academic, pastoral care and ministry contexts to Wellsteed Group.
He has a particular interest in effective counselling, conflict resolution, dealing with difficult personalities, improving team dynamics, and fostering better communication within teams and organisations.
A published author and accomplished public speaker, Steven has six university degrees including two Masters degrees and a PhD in Biochemistry.
Mike Petrut
Analytics Advisor
Mike is an experienced analyst & consultant, with over a decade spent solving energy, agricultural, public policy and economic problems.
Experienced in data analytics, forecasting, spatial data analytics, remote sensing and statistical modelling, he brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and capability in the technical space.
Jake Harris
Mining Advisor
As Wellsteed's chief advisor to the mining and mining services clients, Jake brings more than ten years of experience in open pit and underground mining operations to the team.
Through an extensive network of startups and research institutes, he helps deliver connections between the world's leading mining companies and the foremost emerging capabilities.
Owning and successfully managing a mining-focused consumables business has given Jake strong insights into procurement behaviours and strategic decision making from the operational level to the C-Suite of the mining sector.
Nicole Steinmetz
Graphic Designer
Nicole holds a BA in Graphic Design and is an authorised Squarespace Trainer and CSS Web Designer. Backed by 14+ years of experience, she builds trust through consistent brand presentation across all touchpoints.
She empowers businesses with custom-coded Squarespace/Shopify solutions, ensuring a strong online presence and clear communication of brand value.
